Who is behind PrimeRate Daily
PrimeRate Daily is an independent publication owned and operated by Gerson Cordova, an individual publisher based in El Salvador. It is not a bank, an insurance broker, a lender, or a licensed financial advisory firm, and it is not owned by any of those.
We say that first because it matters. When you read about loans, insurance or Medicare, you should know who is writing and what they gain from it.
Why this site exists
Financial and insurance information online tends to fall into two categories: documents written by institutions for legal accuracy rather than clarity, and thin articles written to rank in search results rather than to inform.
We write in the middle. Our goal is that a person with no background in finance can read one of our guides and come away knowing what questions to ask and what the trade-offs are.
How we write our guides
Every article follows the same process. We start from the question a reader is actually trying to answer, not from a keyword. We use primary sources whenever figures are involved, which means government agencies, regulators and official publications rather than other blogs. We state clearly when something is a range, an estimate or a judgment call, and we update articles when the underlying rules change.
We do not publish fabricated statistics, invented rate tables, or comparisons of products we have not examined. If we do not know something, the article says so.
What we cover
Finance covers investing basics, savings, debt and taxes. Insurance covers life, auto, home and health coverage. Health focuses on the cost and access side of care rather than medical treatment. Business covers small business financing and operations. Technology covers tools that small businesses actually use.
What we are not
We are not licensed to give financial, legal, tax, insurance or medical advice, and nothing on this site should be read as personal advice for your situation. We do not know your income, your obligations, your health or your jurisdiction. For decisions that affect your money or your health, consult a licensed professional in your own country.
How we make money
This site is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks and are marked as advertising where they appear. Advertisers do not review, approve or influence our articles, and we do not accept payment to recommend a specific company or product.
